Christian EyengaIts the player trading season for the teams of NBA and the latest buzz regarding it is that the Cleveland Cavaliers has drafted Christian Eyenga of the Republic of Congo as their new player for this season. This decision of Cleveland Cavaliers has taken sports enthusiasts by surprise as many think that Eyenga who is below 20 in age and has only played second division basketball in Europe, does not match the high standards set by the Cavs. The Cavs used their 30th Pick by taking Eyenga in their team.

This 6 feet 6 inches tall basketball player, who presently plays for the Joventut’s LEB Silver Team Prat in Spain, made his debut in the Euroleague 2008. Being an young energetic player, Eyenga shows different skills during his matches owing to his able and strongly built body. Though his ball handling skills are a less than perfect, he shows nice skills as he dribbles off his opponents in a match.

Eyenga has not yet cracked down his rotation with Joventut and has aims of not returning to his team for at least two years. Those who have seen him play doesn’t see signs of a great future stalwart in him in basketball. Rather he can be looked upon as a defensive forward player with good stroke at his dispense.

Taking Eyenga to the team shows Cav’s ability to go for foreign players with comparatively less money since after getting the much popular Shaquille O’Neal the Cleveland Cavaliers are under a little financial pressure.
