Alabama, Jan 13 (THAINDIAN NEWS) On Monday the injured quarterback Colt McCoy visited an orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews in Alabama for a second opinion on his injury. And according to his father Brad, the prognosis is very good news. He didn’t elaborate on the ‘very good news’ but he did say that “It’s very positive. Everybody is very, very happy.”
Even though he refused to get into the logistical details of the injury, he did say that his son Colt McCoy would be fit and fine before the NFL combine in late February and he would definitely perform there. “They don’t see any issues at all,” Brad McCoy said. When pressed for more information on the injury then he did say that they would issue an official statement in the next 24 hours, which would have a statement by Dr. James Andrews as well. He also said that his son Colt McCoy has handled the injury very well even though he was very disappointed when his team lost the game. “Colt has handled it better than anyone can,” his father said.
Colt won the AT&T’s All-America Player of the Week in week 13 when he passed for 304 yards and ran for a career-high 175 yards with five total touchdowns in Texas’ win at Texas A&M.
