Coach Flower says KP will rise to the occasion during Ashes
November 23rd, 2010 - 7:13 pm ICT by ANIBrisbane, Nov.23 (ANI): England cricket team coach Andy Flower believes middle-order batsman Kevin Pietersen will rise to the occasion and enjoy a run-drenched Ashes series.
Rubbishing Aussie legend Shane Warne’s claim that KP is being treated him as an “outcast” after he lost the captaincy last year, Flower said: “Kevin is anything but an outcast. He’s a good guy to have in the dressing room, a great player to have on our side.
“He is a very dangerous player and the opposition worry about him. We expect great things from him because he enjoys the big stage. We have very good team unity. Kevin enjoys pressure situations,” The Sun quoted Flower, as saying.
He added: “We’re all proud to be representing England and realise our place in Ashes history. (ANI)
