Sydney, Jan 11 (ANI): Kim Clijsters, the winner of Brisbane International, has forecasted a prompt return to the top 10 for herself and Justine Henin.
Henin’s withdrawal from the Sydney International to treat a minor gluteal strain will deny the Belgian the chance for a potential Australian Open preview appointment with world No.1 Serena Williams.
Henin will travel to Melbourne in the coming days with her comeback itinerary already ahead of schedule.
“I think with the level we both played, I think we’re both capable of getting back to the top 10, and I don’t think it will take long for Justine to have a crack at that,” The Sydney Morning Herald quoted Clijsters, as saying after beating Henin in the Brisbane final on Saturday.
Clijsters and Henin will travel from Brisbane to Melbourne later in the week. (ANI)
