Sydney, Feb 19 (IANS) Persistent back injury has put Australian vice-captain Michael Clarke in doubt for Friday’s tour match against South Africa President’s XI.
Due to the back injury, Clarke missed the last Twenty20 international against New Zealand Sunday and was restricted by team physio Alex Kountouris to walk laps while the main group completed warm-up fielding drills at Senwes Park at Potchefstroom, it was reported by The Daily Telegraph.

Clarke is likely to be rested for the tour game.

The batsman will be key for Australia to avoiding defeat in the forthcoming three-Test series against South Africa to retain the No.1 ranking.
