Chris Kaman: New Hope For The Clippers

Oct.28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Los Angeles Lakers received their rings on Tuesday night and then faced the Clippers in what was the first match of the season. Although the Clippers lost the game, their player Chris Kaman proved to be the surprise find of the match. There was ample speculations regarding him before the match [in quite optimistic tones] and he totally lived up to all the expectations.
Kaman could not lead the Los Angeles Clippers to victory, but his scores showed the promise of some wins to came in the future. His major contributions to Tuesday’s match included eighteen points. He also earned sixteen rebounds and two steals for the Clippers. Prior to the game, there were speculations that with the return of Marcus Camby, he would be taken off the bench in this season. There was even the hope in some quarters that it would prove to be good for the Los Angeles Clippers. There was the hope that the player would help the Clippers get out of their spell of defeat, that has plagued them for the last few matches.
If Tuesday night’s match is anything to go by, then Chris has lived up thoroughly to the expectations that built up around him before the game. His start was nothing less than impressive in the first match of the season. He is already being hailed as the “fantasy sleeper of the year.” There is hope that if he manages to play throughout the entire season, and is not ousted owing to some injury or something else, he might well be thee next big thing for the Clippers.
