Chris Henry’s Funeral Service Scheduled For Tuesday

henryDec.19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Cincinnati Bengals player Chris Henry, who tragically lost his life following an accident, is going to be laid to rest early next week. The funeral of the 26 year old wide receiver who succumbed to his injuries on Thursday, is scheduled to be held on Tuesday in Gretna, Los Angeles. The funeral service is expected to be attended by his family, friends as well as his team members, who would be present to honor the player after his untimely death.

Meanwhile, Bengals team officials have expressed that they would charter a plane to the service. Moreover, it has also been revealed that the team would be commemorating the deceased player during Sunday’s game against the Chargers by sporting helmet decals with Chris Henry’s number adorning it. At the same time, the coaches would remember Chris Henry by wearing pins similar to the decals.

The wide receiver died after sustaining severe injuries after he slipped from the truck while his fiancee Loleini Tonga was at the wheels. Prior to the accident, the couple were supposedly involved in a heated argument which ultimately led to the tragic incident. However, it still remains unclear whether the police are going to press charges against his fiancee, although it has been confirmed that authorities are thoroughly investigating the case to understand the circumstances that led to the player’s death. Rosalyn Harrington, spokesperson of Charlotte-Mecklenburg police has expressed that after the player fell from the vehicle, Loleini Tonga stopped the truck and came out to offer her help. As of now, anybody from Chris Henry ’s family have not been available for comments.
