China beat India in second hockey Test, clinch series
April 1st, 2010 - 7:54 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, April 1 (IANS) Asian champions China Thursday swamped India 4-0 in the second women’s hockey Test at Shanghai to claim the three-match series.
The hosts had beaten India 6-4 in the first Test Tuesday.
China scored two goals in each session. Wang Men Gyu scored a brace, converting penalty corners in the 13th and 53rd minutes, while Tu Bao Rong Fu scored in the 33d minute and Zhao Yu Diao in the 62nd.
India earned five penalty corners in the first half but failed to breach the Chinese defence. China got nine penalty corners.
The third and final Test will be played, also at Shanghai, Friday.
