July 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) If everything works in favor of the Chicago Bulls then chances are that Orlando Magic Shooting guard J.J. Redick will land up with the team for the coming three years. As per reports, on Friday J.J. Redick signed an offer-sheet given by the Chicago Bulls that offered him a three-year $20 million contract. The restricted free agent is yet to take any decision. On the other hand the Orlando Magic management is trying to match the offer given by the Chicago Bulls and has one week in its hand to come forward with a match.
The coach of the Orlando Magic, Stan Van Gundy had said to media sources that to keep J.J. Redick in the team comes is a priority for the management. The Coach had said earlier that he was not worried by the offer J.J.Redick might receive from other teams as whatever the offer might be the Orlando Magic team management will try to match it. However a league source has said that the offer set by Chicago Bulls for J.J. Redick will be “painful” on the part of the Orlando Magic to meet.
That the Orlando Magic team management will try to keep J.J. Redick in the team is clear from the fact that the shooting guard last season had contributed immensely to the team’s success. Last season the player had played all the 82 games and managed an average of 9.6 points. He had shot 40 percent of his shots from the three pointer range. The 26 year old player is still new in the arena of Basketball and according to many sports analyst has hidden potentials yet to be explored.
