Chicago Bears Player Gaines Adams Dies At 26

Chicago, Jan 18, (THAINDIAN NEWS) In a rather unfortunate turn of events, Chicago Bears defensive end Gaines Adams died on Sunday morning after suffering a heart attack at a South Carolina hospital. Although the exact reason for the untimely death of the 26 year old player has not been available, it has been revealed that the player suffered from an enlarged heart that supposedly led to the cardiac arrest.
The defensive linesmen, who was in Greenwood spending time with his family, was rushed to the Self Regional Hospital in Greenwood, South Carolina, where he was pronounced dead. Initial autopsy investigation revealed that the Bears player was suffering from a medical condition due to which he had an enlarged heart.
The untimely death of the young NFL player has come as a huge shock to his family members as supposedly they did not have any idea that Gaines Adams was actually suffering from any kind of a medical condition. At the same time, the unexpected demise of the Chicago Bears player has also sent shock waves among his team as well as the entire American football fraternity.
While reacting to the untimely death of the defensive end, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has released a statement in which he has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the deceased player’s family and teammates while adding that he remembered the NFL player as a fine young man.
Gaines Adams was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as the fourth overall pick during the 2007 Draft. However, in the month of October last year, the defensive lineman was traded to the Chicago Bears.
