Cheltzie Lee Advances In Olympics Figure Skating Championship

sakterVancouver, British Columbia, Feb 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Australian figure skater Cheltzie Lee has strengthened her chances of winning the Free Skate Program at the Winter Olympics at Vancouver as she has registered her position among the top 24 skaters who would be competing at the event which would be held on Thursday. The young skater grabbed the 18th rank in the short program for the ladies figure skating in the Olympics.

The 16 year old contestant enthralled the audiences with her stunning performance as she skated to the music by Michael Buble at the qualifying championship which was held on Tuesday evening. Cheltzie Lee was successful in impressing the judges as well as the crowds with her amazing feat as she went on to score a personal best of 52.16 which ensured her spot during Thursday’s much anticipated championship. Following her impressive show, the teenager, who was visibly excited to be among the top 24 skaters to have qualified for the next stage of the competition, went and hugged her coach Kylie Fennell. Later in the Australian team’s official online portal the young skater implied the fact that she managed to deliver her best score in the Olympics were indeed special. At the same time, the Australian skater also expressed that she was indeed looking forward to Thursday’s championship.

Cheltzie Lee was surely successful in doing full justice to her late draft in the Winter Olympics. She was initially the third reserve for the Games but got lucky when Israeli skater Tamar Katz pulled out of the event. As of now, all the fans of the young skater are desperately hoping that she continues with her amazing performance for the rest of the event.
