Arsenal London, Mar 31(ANI): Chelsea’s plan to sell the naming rights to Stamford Bridge, their home since the club were established in 1905, for 100 million pounds has failed to get a single serious bid.

It has been 17 months since chief executive Ron Gourlay announced that the club was ready to open talks on stadium sponsorship.

However, dozens of “blue-chip” companies have baulked at the 100 million pounds price tag for a 10-year deal, the Sun reports.

Meanwhile, Gourlay admitted that the issue is not going to be resolved in the near future.

“We are still looking for a suitable partner. If that doesn’t happen we will go down a different route,” Gourlay said.

Arsenal secured around 100 million pounds when they moved from Highbury by selling the rights to their new stadium to the Emirates airline. That deal lasts until 2021. (ANI)
