London, Nov.30 (ANI): England and Chelsea skipper John Terry has serenaded his club side’s victory over Arsenal yesterday, saying: “This is the stuff champions are made of.”
Didier Drogba scored twice as the table-topping Blues re-established a five-point lead over Manchester United.
The Gunners are now 11 points adrift.
The Sun quoted skipper Terry, as saying: “We’re playing really well. That was tough at times - the first 25 minutes. But we soaked it up and, going forward, the midfielders and forwards were excellent.”
Drogba grabbed the opener before Thomas Vermaelen’s own goal put Carlo Ancelotti’s men two-up before half time.
Terry, however, warned his teammates against complacency.
He said: “We’ve been there before and thrown it away, so we need to regroup and stay together.” (ANI)
