Chelsea to drop under performing players against Portsmouth

London, Dec 15(ANI): Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti is expected to drop some of his under performing players for Wednesday’s Premier League game against Portsmouth.
Ancelotti had warned his players that poor performances would mean changes, and after Saturday’s 3-3 draw with Everton, centre-back Ricardo Carvalho and midfielder Michael Ballack are the big names in the firing line, The Sun reported.
Earlier, Ancelotti had insisted that despite Chelsea losing their 100 per cent home League record at Stamford Bridge during the game against Everton, there was no crisis at the club.
“I am not angry. It was a good performance. Who can say we are in crisis? I don’t think so. I want to be objective and when I look at the game and the way we played, I saw that my team played very well,” Ancelotti had said.
“We didn’t win because of mistakes at set-pieces. But we played very well for 90 minutes with intensity and good concentration,” he added.
Though, Chelsea lost their 100 per cent home League record, and even more worryingly, they have failed to win any of their past four competitive matches. (ANI)
