Chelsea must improve performance to maintain Premier League top spot: Ancelotti
October 31st, 2010 - 5:48 pm ICT by ANILondon, Oct 31(ANI): Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti admits that his team must move up the gears if they want to retain the Premier League title.
Ancelotti’s comment comes after Chelsea fought back from a goal down to defeat Blackburn Rovers 2-1 at Ewood Park.
“To win here was important because they were better. We were not great. Blackburn put us under some pressure and we were not able to play our football,” the Sun quoted Ancelotti, as saying.
“It is very important to win here to maintain our position at the top. We are in good condition now and I hope we improve on this victory,” he added.
Chelsea currently has a five-point lead at the top of the Premier League table. (ANI)
