Chelsea has depth to play fantastic football: Ancelotti

London, Sep 28 (ANI): Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has said that the club has the depth to play fantastic games despite not spending the millions provided by owner Roman Abramovich to buy new players.
Ancelotti’s team is short of experienced players for tonight’s Champions League clash against Marseille.
With Didier Drogba suspended and Frank Lampard, Salomon Kalou and Yossi Benayoun all injured, Ancelotti will be forced to give chance to new players for Group F encounter.
Premier League rivals Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City and Spurs regularly have an all-international substitutes bench, but Chelsea is set to rely on untried teenagers Josh McEachran, Jeffrey Bruma, Gael Kakuta and Fabio Borini for the game.
“One minute people are telling me my squad is full of old players and now they say we are too young and have no experience. It is normal to have two or three injuries in the season and this is not a problem for us,” The Sun quoted Ancelotti, as saying.
“Obviously it is important to have experience in the squad but we want our young players to be able to play at this level and then the experience will come later. We have a good mix of young, improving players and others with enough experience to play a fantastic game,” he said.
“Losing to City at the weekend was not because of our subs. We were not able to change the game from the beginning or with our substitutions,” he added. (ANI)
