Chase Utley gets his record 5th homer

Philadelphia, Nov 3 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Philadelphia got a 8-6 win on Monday night in Game 5, in which Chase Utley hit two home runs to raise his World Series total to a record-tying five in all.

He is quite a shy and humble gentleman who says that, “This is not my favorite part,” when he was sandwiched with a roomful of reporters from all over the world after hitting two homers in the Phillies’ 8-6 Game 5 victory Monday. “But it obviously comes with the territory. I’m getting a little bit more used to it. But I’d rather just go out and play.”

“It’s great company,” Utley said. “At some point, not right now, maybe I’ll look back on it and see what kind of special moment this is. But right now our goal is to win two more games.”

“[Utley] has such a short swing,” said Yankees manager Joe Girardi, describing every hitting coach’s ideal. “He’s so short to the ball. You don’t see him chasing a lot of bad pitches, either.”

“He’s quiet and he goes about his business in a real good way,” Manuel said. “I don’t want to embarrass Chase, but sometimes I tell players, ‘Just play with Chase,’ because if you play with Chase, you’ve got a chance to be a pretty good player.”
