Chase Daniel Steers Redskins To Victory

Rookie Chase Daniel, the quarter back of the Washington Redskins helped his team to bag their first pre-season points as Washington Skins dumped Pittsburgh Steelers 17-13 in Saturday’s match.
Chase Daniel, fighting all the odds in order to earn a roster spot reportedly threw two touchdown passes, thus overcoming Washington’s first team offense in Saturday’s 17-13 win over Pittsburgh. But it seems that things weren’t so easy for the Redskins quarter back, Chase Daniel. Chase Daniel’s first ever NFL snap was steering towards a disaster.
The player was seen flaunting an old school plastic mouth guard that he reportedly wore at the bottom of his mouth so that his team mates can make a note of him. “”Mid-cadence I am saying ‘Green 80′ and my mouth guard falls out and I catch it right at the center’s butt,” Daniel said.
According to the reports, Daniel’s team mates were reportedly seen laughing at him speculating that Daniel was a way too over cautious about his mouth guard of falling out his mouth. But the circumstances favored Daniel as his first drive ended with a three yard touch down pass to Marco Mitchell. Daniel’s third possession witness an 18 yard touchdown pass to Fred Davis.
“Chase had a wonderful night. I was excited for a guy not getting a lot of reps to perform with some poise. Just like every second group out there, they all wanted to do well and they certainly did,” said Redskins coach Jim Zorn.
Daniel is the only Redskin’s quarterback to steer a touchdown drive this pre-season.
