The startling revelation from the club comes soon after Chambers had a brilliant catch during the match against the Oakland Raiders, which saw the Chargers emerging as the victor. Chargers eventually won the match 24-16.

According to Chargers coach Norv Turner, a struggling Chambers was reportedly released due to the arrival of Malcolm Floyd. The coach also stated that the team desperately was in need of a linebacker as one of their key players, Tim Dobbins was reportedly injured on Sunday. Although the emergence of Malcolm has been cited as the prime reason for Chambers departure, inside sources reveal that Chambers was going through certain personal problems that might have initiated the club to take this decision. But all said and done, the prime reason could be Chambers repeated failure on the field could have instigated the process.

Although Chambers was released on Sunday after Malcolm Floyd’s emergence, still the player made a noticeable exit from the team as his brilliant catch against the Raiders helped the team win 24-16, thereby sealing the series 4-3. The stupendous performance of Chambers was well received by the crowd, but that didn’t help the player to retain his place in the team.

According to the sources, Chambers was reportedly obtained from Miami during a trading deadline in the year 2007. Chambers performed brilliantly that season and played the key role of steering the Chargers to AFC championship game.
