- London, Nov 9(ANI): A British tabloid has claimed that Celtic midfielder Scott Brown was attacked in a late-night street fight in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Brown was on a night out in Edinburgh with pals on Saturday when it is alleged that he was caught up in a scrap with a group of revellers, The Sun reported.
The 24-year-old, who is out of the Scottish Premier League due to injury, is believed to be have been hit on the head.
“It is unclear what started the fight. We arrived at the scene pretty quickly and Brown was shocked but not seriously hurt. He refused medical help and told officers at the scene he did not see who hit him because there were so many people surrounding him,” the tabloid quoted a police insider, as saying.”He was obviously upset at the turn his night out had taken,” the insider added.
Meanwhile, a 22-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident. (ANI)
