Carmelo Anthony’s Sister Passes Away At 36

Dec 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Tragedy stuck on Wednesday when Denver Nuggets’ forward Carmelo Anthony received the news of his sister’s death. The untimely death of his sister, Michelle Anthony, has left this Denver Nuggets forward completely shattered. She was 36 at the time of her demise. She left behind four children. Sources say that she had been a victim of some unknown medical problems, although details have not yet been released.
Carmelo Anthony left Nuggets game on Wednesday after he came to know about his sister’s death. He was then in San Antonio. Michelle Antonio stays in Baltimore. The news of the death of his sister is undoubtedly devastating and yet more shocking to receive the news on the eve of Christmas. This is a complete tragedy for Carmelo Anthony as well as his family. The NBA player has taken leave but he is expected to resume to his team post Christmas, says a reliable source. It’s pretty difficult to imagine the mental condition his family is going through. There is absolutely no words that could console the family of for this loss. Losing a member of the family is always a shock and especially when the death comes unexpectedly, or when the person is too young to die. Carmelo Anthony is trying to cope up with the loss of his sister and at the same time taking care of the four children she has left behind.
The whole Nuggets organization have expressed condolences for the player’s sister and expect Carmelo Anthony would return to the game after Christmas. The Nuggets say that their entire organization supports the player and his family through this difficult time. The news is extremely shocking, especially during the festive season.
