PHILLIES CUBSChicago, June 26, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The offender repeats his tantrum. The obvious consequence? Chicago Cubs have suspended Carlos Zambrano for an indefinite period after the Friday match against the White Sox.

Chicago Cubs have suspended the pitcher indefinitely for his indiscipline on the ground and his verbal tussle with fellow teammate Derrek Lee after Chicago Cubs lost To White Sox by 6-0. General manager Jim Hendry had called Carlos Zambrano’s behavior as “not acceptable” and it’s speculated that Carlos Zambrano might never pitch again for Chicago Cubs. As a matter of fact Chicago Cubs shall now carry on with a total of 24 players.

Lou Piniella had called Carlos Zambrano’s behavior to be “embarrassing” and said it was highly unprofessional of the pitcher to have reacted against his teammates after the first innings. He also said that the players were aware of the situation on the field and if it was a bad day for Chicago Cubs then nobody is to blamed. Carlos Zambrano who had been the center of discussion for his tantrums in the recent past was signed by Chicago Cubs for a whopping $91.5 million deal for a total span of five years. The contract was extended way back in the month of August in 2007.

Jim Hendry told the media that it’s tiresome to witness Carlos Zambrano throwing tantrums repetitively. He said that he is total agreement that sometimes things do fall out of control but one should be careful of the situation and try acting accordingly.

Jim Hendry calls the whole affair of Carlos Zambrano to be a “recurring” one and said that with every occurrence, it becomes “disappointing” for the team.
