July 18, (THAINDIAN NEWS) On Saturday after some bumpy frantic final rounds Carl Edwards was ultimately able to put behind Brad Keselowski and win the Nationwide Dodge Dealers 250. The driver did not mind taking some risky dangerous steps to turn the game in his favor. Although Brad Keselowski was seen leading in a part of the race, he was put behind at the final lap by Carl Edwards who went for the checkered flag. The runner-up position was held by Reed Sorenson while 19-year-old Trevor Bayne finished third. The race was held at the Gateway International Raceway.
After sealing the win, Carl Edwards defended his action on the track. He said that during the final straightaway drive he bumped the Dodge of Brad Keselowski as it was necessary. He added that Brad Keselowski will eventually learn that he cannot run into Carl Edwards car every time and put him in a bad situation. The driver added that in every situation there is an aggressor and there is also someone who reacts and in the Saturday night situation it was Carl Edwards who reacted.
Things messed up during the final round of the race. Carl Edwards was leading by a slight margin over Brad Keselowski when the latter hit the left rear portion of the former’s car. Although Carl Edwards was able to maintain his control over the car, Brad Keselowski got a lead. However, towards the end of the race, Carl Edwards hit the car of Brad Keselowski that led the car of the latter squatter across the tracks. It suffered a head-on collision with that of Shelby Howard. Although the driver suffered no injuries, the crash made his car end the race at 14th.
