car3Hampton, Mar 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Carl Edwards and Brad Keselowski were involved in a horrific crash in the race course on Sunday, at the Sprint Cup race that was held in Atlanta. Fortunately, though, none of the drivers involved in the accident were hurt. Before the horrified eyes of the assembled crowd and the ones watching on television, Carl Edwards knocked his car against that of Brad Keselowski in the rear end. As a result of the knock, which to be honest was not a very hard one as a matter of fact, but increased in intensity owing to the speed at which Carl Edward was racing, Brad Keselowski lost control of his car.

Consequently, Brad Keselowski’s car was sent, in a spine chilling moment, up into the air, and came back on the ground after some heart-stopping moments. Thankfully, the driver escaped unhurt from what could have been a fatal accident. Carl Keselowski was taken to task by NASCAR after the accident. However, the punishment that was meted out to the erring driver has been taken with some skepticism by the observers.

Most of them feel that NASCAR should have taken stricter steps than just putting Carl Edwards on probationary watch for the next three months. It has also been said that his every move is going to be watched and any offense of any kind will be highly penalized. This has not appeased anyone, particularly those who feel that the nudge was not accidental. Many feel that Carl Edwards should have been suspended, and it has brought down ample criticism on the new, more lenient laws of NASCAR.
