London, Oct. 16 (ANI): England football coach Fabio Capello appears to be considering both David Beckham and Peter Crouch for his World Cup 2010 squad of 23 players.
Beckham, 34, was named man of the match in Wednesday’s 3-0 win over Belarus, even though he made only a half-hour appearance as sub. Crouch, 28, netted twice against Belarus to take his international tally to 18 goals in 35 matches.
The Sun quoted Capello, as saying: “The door is open for all the players. We have to wait until April to see what the situation is before making decisions.”The Italian has decided to take 30 players to his pre-tournament training camp in Austria. (ANI)
