Nov. 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Calvin Johnson might not be able to play in the week 8 game that would be held between the St. Louis Rams and the Detroit Lions. The exact reason is not known. However, he is reportedly suffering from a knee injury and that might be the reason for his not joining in the match. There have been considerable deliberations regarding his participation in this particular match.

It was pretty much decided by the 30th of October that Johnson would be taking part in the match. It was decided that he would play, the decision being a ‘game-time” one. However, things changed again and the deliberations returned. Johnson was quoted as saying that he was feeling batter than he did about a week back, but was not completely healed. He said that he was hoping that he would be able to play in the game against the Rams, but he could not be absolutely positive. He had been declared as not playing in the match, but not officially. However, there is hope that he would be able to play in the match, given that he had played in the practice matches on Thursday, though he had failed to turn up on Wednesday.

Johnson had suffered the knee injury in a match against the Steelers in the match of week 5. The possibility that he might not be playing is definitely a prospect for cheering up in some quarters. For the Rams, however, it can only mean bad news, as they are in dire need of a win. Their cause is not helped by the fact that along with Johnson, quite a few other key players will also not be able to play.
