London, Jan 19 (ANI): TV personality Calum Best has said that he will try his best to save troubled footballer star Paul Gascoigne a.k.a Gazza.

The fashion model has said that this would be his way to repay Gazza, as he was the one who gave him support when his father, footie legend George Best, died after a long battle with alcohol.

Gazza, the former football hero is currently in a clinic, fighting alcoholism and depression.

He is such a good guy and all he is doing is escaping by getting on the bottle, The Daily Star quoted Calum, 27, as saying.

He added: I would just ask him to please get in touch. But you look at what he is doing and think Wow I have been through that one and I know the sad ending and I just hope it doesnt end that way.

I can kind of relate it to my old mans situation. Sometimes these people who have the genius on the field, when they leave the field they dont have that genius any more, so they just move on to the bottle. It is an escape.

I am watching him and I can just see my old man doing the same thing. (ANI)
