Oct 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Brian Westbrook had to leave the game being held on the night of Monday, after he suffered from a concussion in the first quarter itself. The concussion being serious, he is not expected to return to the game any further. He was hit by London Levi Fletcher-Baker’s knee on a first down run. He had to lie on the ground for some time while the medical people attended to him, but then he himself walked out of the field. His brother Byron Westbrooke was there on the field looking after him. Byron himself plays for the Redskins as a cornerback. He was substituted by LeSean McCoy.

Westbrook was with the ball for about 5 yards before being hit. London’s knee connected with Westbrook’s helmet. Westbrook plays as the running back for his team.

In this match Philadelphia Eagles lead against Washington Redskins with a 27-17 victory. On Monday itself Brian rushed for 13 yards completing a whole 197 yards for this season. Also, he had earlier missed a game because he had sprained an ankle. This injury had taken place in the second week of the season, where the Eagles lost against the Saints.

The teams had their turning moment with the ‘controversial botched fair catch’. Antwaan Randle El, who plays as return-man for the Redskins was waving for a fair catch, but his team-mate knocked him down. The team-mate was none other than Brian’s brother Byron. Later in the game, both Byron and H.B. Blades who plays as lineback had to suffer knee injuries which left their returns to the game in doubt.
