Button will remain behind me in F-1 2011-12: Hamilton
March 22nd, 2011 - 6:06 pm ICT by ANILondon, Mar. 22 (ANI): Formula One 2008 champion Lewis Hamilton has said Jenson Button that he will be second best to him again.
The 2008 champ got the better of Button last year in their first season as McLaren team-mates.
Hamilton, 26, has upped the stakes in their Formula One rivalry by predicting he will come out on top when the new season kicks off in Australia on Sunday, The Sun reports.
He said: “I believe I’m the best and know I can be faster than Jenson. If he finishes ahead of me, he’s done a better job or been lucky. We get on but want to beat each other.”
Hamilton insists a bitter partnership like that of Red Bull pair Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber would not benefit McLaren.
He added: “We don’t need any edge between us, it’s not like Red Bull. This works for us.” (ANI)
