Nov. 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Most fans of American football safety Jairus Byrd (who plays for the professional football team Buffalo Bills) were disappointed when his team met the Houston Texas on Sunday. The injury list of the Bills went on escalating as around four players of the Bills suffered injuries. Jairus was also one of them. He went out of the game after he suffered a groin injury.
Moreover, things are really not looking good for the Buffalo Bills, as they suffered a loss against rivals Houston Texas at the Ralph Wilson Stadium. Jairus’s team lost 31-10. The fans of the Bills who had thronged the stadium to witness their teams victory, returned dismayed much before the game reached its final conclusion. It was very evident from the way the game was played from the very beginning that the chances of the Bills coming back to the game were really less.
However, Jairus highlighted one of the bright sides of the Bills, as he managed to score two interceptions in three consecutive games. This resulted in his total increasing to seven interceptions in this season, which is the highest by any rookie since the year 2001. The player registered his first interception against Derek Anderson who is a player of the team the Cleveland Browns.
Jairus who is the son of former National Football League player Gill Byrd who was a player of the San Diego Chargers and presently coaches the Chicago Bulls. Jairus is surely one of the most promising player of NFL. He joined the team Buffalo Bills in the 2009 NFL Draft.
