Buddy Nix Appointed The New General Manager Of Buffalo Bills

billJan. 01, (THAINDIAN NEWS) According to the reports, Buddy Nix has been declared the general manager of the Buffalo Bills. The position was vacant for the last two years. In 2007, Marv Levy, the then general manager of the team, resigned from his post. Till the appointment of Buddy Nix, the Chief Operating officer of the Buffalo Bills, Russ Brandon, was acting as the interim General Manager for the team. It has been announced that he will be promoted to the post of the Chief Executive. The announcement was made at a news conference on Thursday held before the game of the Buffalo Bills against Indianapolis.

The appointment of Buddy Nix as the general manager of the Buffalo Bills was announced by the owner of the team, Ralph Wilson. Apparently, this is his first attempt at bringing about changes in the management of his team. At the press conference, he introduced the newly appointed general manager of the team as one who is well conversed with all the aspects that are associated with football. He further commented that it was important to have someone like that in the team, a change that had long been overdue.

The others who had been considered by Ralph Wilson for the post were John Modrak and John Guy. Buddy Nix have had a long experience of 14 years in the NFL. While in the NFL, he served mostly in the area of scouting, he has coached in the colleges for 26 years, including Tennessee Chattanooga, where he served as the head coach for nine years. He had also been the Assistant general manager with the San Diego Chargers, and also as the Player Personnel.
