adams Tampa, Fla., October 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Four days were left for the deadline of NFL trade when Tampa Bay Buccaneers decided to trade Gaines Adams to Chicago Bears. On Friday night, the Buccaneers declared that they had traded their defensive end for 2010 draft, second round pick. This year, Tampa Bay Buccaneers did not have a good luck and have not yet recorded a win. Buccaneers team was not satisfied with the performance level of Adams and decided to trade him.

Gaines Adams had come to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the draft pick of 2007. Jon Gruden had trained him for two seasons but was not satisfied with his performance. The pass-rush movements of Adams were not much impressive and Jim Bates, the defensive coordinator had trained him to get his movements improved. It is expected that Raheem Morris who would be the new coach for Adams would develop his performance and bring out his best. Media reports stated, Rod Marinelli, the assistant head coach of the Chicago Bears team was fond of Adams from 2007. Now he would get him in his own team.

It is expected that Gaines Adams would be seen on the Sunday night match against Atlanta. The other two defensive players of team Israel Idonije and Anthony Adams are not sure for the game as they had received injuries. Adams’ defensive performance as a rookie was quite impressive. However, he could not keep up his performance in the two seasons which he had spent with Buccaneers team. In this season, Adams had played five games in which he recorded one sack with fourteen tackles.
