Brock Lesnar Makes Stunning Comeback, Beats Shane Carwin

brocLas Vegas, July 4, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar was successful in defending his title on Saturday night after he made a stunning comeback from a first round debacle against Shane Carwin in UFC 116.

The victory must have indeed tasted all the more sweet for the heavyweight champion as this was his first fight in almost a year. Although as the bout commenced, Brock Lesnar suffered repeated blows from his opponent, it was not very long before he regained control of the fight and ultimately was successful in emerging victorious.

All the Brock Lesnar fans had something to look forward to in the second round as the 32-year-old heavyweight champion took down his opponent in the second round after a rather horrific-first round beating. The large number of crowd gathered at the MGM Grand Garden Arena applauded boisterously as Brock Lesnar went on to completely dominate Shane Carwin with the help of an arm triangle choke rather than raining down successive blows. The undisputed champion’s scintillating comeback came to an end at the 2:19 mark of the round, to the utter delight of all his fans.

While reacting to victory, Brock Lesnar later told the media that during the bout he knew that his opponent was gradually getting tired while he had some heavy shots. The heavyweight champion added that he decided to “just let him go” as each shot was becoming less dramatic than the other. Brock Lesnar had been away from the fighting arena for about a year as the had developed severe intestinal ailments that nearly took his life.
