Broad says there is no new-ball rivalry with Jimmy AndersonJune 2nd, 2009 - 2:29 pm ICT by ANI
London, June 2 (ANI): England pacer Stuart Broad has said that there is no new-ball rivalry between himself and Jimmy Anderson.
“There is no rivalry. He’s the sharper dresser but that’s because his wife’s always on his case. It’s safe to say he’s dressed by his wife. He definitely holds the advantage in the fashion stakes. It’s hard for me to get clothes that are long enough so I have to use a tailor, one up in Manchester that a lot of Manchester United players use. I’m pretty much a typical sportsman, wearing hoodies and trainers,” The Sun quoted Broad, as saying. The 22-year-old is lethal with a cricket ball in his hands but often faces a battle to convince nightclub bouncers he is old enough to drink.
He added: “A lot of people who meet me say, ‘I can’t believe you’re 22, you act much older’.
“But then a lot of people also think I look about 12. I still get asked for ID whenever I go out.” (ANI)
