Brian Rafalski Scores Two Goals Against Canada

Vancouver, Canada, Feb 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Brian Rafalski put up an excellent performance on Sunday. The 36-year-old scored the first 2 goals in the Olympic’s USA versus Canada men’s Ice Hockey. Just when the score of both the teams were equal, Brian Rafalski successfully denied all the attempts of the Canadian ice hockey team who tried to stop him. He scored another goal and took USA to a 2-1 lead. He played a crucial role in his team’s victory over the Canadians. The win was all the more special for USA as the team defeated Canada in their homeland.
Apart from Brian Rafalski, two other USA players equally contributed to the victory. Jamie Langenbrunner scored one goal along with Chris Drury who too played a huge role in USA’s win with his valuable goal. Earlier, the inclusion of Chris Drury in the Olympics was criticized by many. However, now all the fans of the team as well as the team management will be happy with his performance.
Brian Rafalski, the USA defenseman, is reportedly the oldest player of the team. The USA team isnow in the quarterfinals by beating Canada, 5-3. Brian Rafalski looked confident. According to reports, he said, “We know we can beat anybody now.”
Brian Rafalski is iconic in the USA team and has thrice won the Stanley Cup. While playing in the league for 9 seasons, Brian Rafalski has played in 5 Stanley Cup finals in the years 2000, 2001, 2003, 2008 and 2009.
USA ice hockey team was in great form in the USA versus Canada ice hockey. Whether they will reach the semifinals will be revealed in the following matches.
