Houston, May 8, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Brian Cushing, who happens to be the linebacker for Houston Texans has been suspended for the duration of consecutive four games. The suspension orders came out on Friday as the linebacker was charged for violating NFL’s rule as he consumed certain performance enhancing drugs. Reportedly, Brian Cushing was tested positive last year and was charged accordingly. Friday his appeal was canceled and he was issued suspension orders for four consecutive matches. As per the suspension orders, Brian Cushing shall return on the grounds on Oct 10 when Houston Texans take out the New York Giants.
As an obvious consequence, the linebacker shall be now deprived of playing the first four games for the season which is scheduled to kick off in a couple of weeks. As long as Brian Cushing remains suspended, the team shall face play Indianapolis, Oakland, and Dallas, Washington. However the suspension orders said that the player is allowed to appear in the practice sessions and open practice matches.
After Brian Cushing got suspended the media flanked Houston Manager Rick Smith who told the media that the whole team is upset at the news as Brian Cushing is one of the major assets of the team who had bagged the defensive rookie of the year and his suspension does mean a severe blow which the team has to suffer at this point. However, the manager also said that in spite of the fact that his boys go out on the ground without Brian Cushing, they shall give in their best in each and every game. Although suspended Brian Cushing shall be eligible to take part in the OTA which is supposed to kick off its training camp sessions from May 17. As a matter of fact Brian Cushing shall have to train on his own to make all things right before his suspension orders are taken off.
