Melbourne, Oct 17 (ANI): Pacer Brett Lee made an impressive comeback from his long injury on Sunday as his tight spell helped New South Wales win in the one-day Cup match at Hurstville Oval.

With his first game for New South Wales in nearly 12 months, after a year in which he battled a serious elbow problem and injuries to his thumb and arm, Lee picked up 2 for 37 from his 11 overs spell.

“Lee varied his pace well and had Wes Robinson (3 off 25) caught by Stephen O’Keefe off a skier to gully off a leading edge from a slower delivery,” The Sydney Morning Herald reports.

The Warriors, who won the toss scored 225, which was comfortably overhauled by Steve O’Keefe and his batting colleagues.

O’Keefe’s unbeaten 70 - his first limited-overs half-century - and Peter Forrest (35 not out) confirmed the result with 16 deliveries to spare. (ANI)
