Brett Favre New York, Apr 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Brett Favre became a grandfather recently when his 21-year-old daughter Brittany gave birth to a baby boy. The baby boy weighed 7-pounds and 7-ounces and he has been named as Parker Brett. Brett Favre also confirmed the addition to his family on ESPN. “A grandpa at 40. It almost makes me feel old,” Brett Favre told ESPN. However the baby’s father was not identified.

Just last month, the Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder had broken the news that Brett Favre was all set to don grandfather’s cap soon. Currently the Viking quarterback is deciding whether he wants to play for the 20th NFL season or not. He is already considered too old to play football, as he already has grey hair, and is 40 years old. Last year he added more substance to the rumors that he was growing old, when he was found having a good time in a rocking chair in front of his locker at Winter Park.

Meanwhile a NFL spokesman refused to say if Brett Favre was the first active grandfather footballer in the league or not. In football history the oldest player was George Blanda who retired at the age of 48 years. And currently the oldest active player is the Giants punter Jeff Feagles who is 44 years old.
