Brendan Gallagher Returns From Montreal Canadiens’ Training Camp

brandanVancouver, Sep 23, (THAINDIAN NEWS) 18-year-old winger Brendan Gallagher is back and this time with a confidence that is hard to ignore. The Vancouver Giants’ forward, who returned recently from a Montreal Canadiens’ training camp, shared his experience with media sources as he joined his team at a practice session in Ladner. The player who was a fifth-round draft pick of the Montreal this summer, said to media sources that the training camp provided him with not only an opportunity to play with some of the well-known players but also with an opportunity to gauge his position as a winger. An excited Brendan Gallagher maintained that he did find himself lagging behind much and has received positive feedback from the Montreal Canadiens.

The training camp provided Brendan Gallagher with an opportunity to play with stalwarts like Scott Gomez and Brian Gionta. Brendan Gallagher had to undergo a four-day long rookie training camp and then a main camp of three days at the Brossard training facility of the Montreal Canadiens. The player mentioned that he skated with the pros and in the process not only learnt about the game but also judged his capability. Brendan Gallagher held, “I wasn’t really out of shape and i didn’t look like a bad hockey player out there”.

Brendan Gallagher mentioned that he had not only played but also witnessed the passions of the fans and the intense scrutiny that the players face from media sources. Brendan Gallagher, who had last season contributed 41 scores to his team’s success, hopes to live up to the expectation of the Vancouver Giants who are undoubtedly pinning a lot of hope on the player.
