Fernando Torres London, Mar 31(ANI): Brazilian teenager Neymar has performed an incredible U-turn by insisting that he wants to snub Chelsea and stay at Santos.

“I still have no desire to play in Europe. I am happy in Brazil and at Santos. My only real happiness is in Brazil and proposals from clubs are not enough to get me to move,” the Sun quoted Neymar, as saying.

Neymar has been lined up as Chelsea’s 30 million pound summer replacement for striker Didier Drogba.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich sees Neymar as a penalty-box assassin, as his record of 59 goals in just 119 Santos games suggests.

With Drogba’s age and fitness beginning to count against him, it was reported that Abramovich might be ready to thrust the 19-year-old alongside 50 million pound signing Fernando Torres.

Earlier, in August 2010, Neymar was selected in the Brazilian national squad for a friendly match against the United States. He scored on his debut after 28 minutes. (ANI)
