Brazil international midfielder joins Spartak Moscow
June 29th, 2012 - 5:08 pm ICT by IANSRio de Janeiro, June 29 (IANS) Brazil international midfielder Romulo has signed a four-year contract with Russia’ s Spartak Moscow for eight million euros.
The 21-year-old’s Brazilian club Vasco da Gama confirmed on its website Romulo had travelled to Moscow Thursday to sign the deal, reported Xinhua.
Romulo, who plays mostly as a holding midfielder, was one of Brazil’s most impressive players during a recent series of friendlies against Denmark, the US, Mexico and Argentina.
He is almost certain to be included in coach Mano Menezes’ 18-man Olympic squad to be named July 6.
Under the terms of the deal, Romulo will officially begin his contract with Spartak Aug 12.
