Brandon Spikes Suspended For Four Games By NFL

Dec 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) In a recent development the rookie linebacker of New England Patriots Brandon Spikes has been given a suspension notice for 4 consecutive games. He has allegedly breached the NFL policy prevalent on performance-enhancing substances. The news which came out on Friday left the team shocked. The NFL said that the suspension has been made effective and it covers the game against Chicago Bears which is on Sunday. He will be allowed to play on January 3. If his team qualifies for post season he will be permitted to take part in all the playoff games.
The player is not silent on the topic and wrote on the team’s website “The substance was a medication that I should have gotten clarification on before taking.” He also added that what he took was not an illegal drug or performance enhancer. The player was prompt to say that he is felling sorry for the fiasco and asked for apology from the fans of his team as well as his teammates. This season Brandon Spikes has one interception and 61 tackles. The NFL has not said what type of substance the layer had taken but it is now clear that it was not a type of steroid. The player also clarified that he took the dug as a medication but should have been more careful about it.
The player who is now in his early 20s was drafted by the New England Patriots in sophomore round of draft. For the games he would not be available, the team New England Patriots may rope in Gary Guyton as the replacement.
