New York, Aug 1 (THAINDIAN NEWS) NFL star Brandon Marshall divulged candidly that he suffers from borderline personality disorder. The Miami Dolphins’ wide receiver decided to get to the bottom of the matter when he was hospitalized after a nasty fight with his wife Michi Nogami-Marshall in April.

At first he thought about hiding his condition, but then he decided against it. He felt that he should come out with it in the open so that others like him can get inspiration from him and get treatment, rather than hide the fact.

Even though Marshall was blessed with wealth, a nice wife, a great house and he had a life of which anyone would just dream of, yet he didn’t enjoy it. He said that, “I haven’t enjoyed not one part of it, and it’s hard for me to understand why.”

After deciding to publicly announce his disorder, he said that, “I’ll make myself vulnerable if it saves someone’s life because I know what I went through this summer helped save mine. This is the most stigmatized disorder out there, but yet it’s very treatable and with the right help, the right treatment program, the right treaters, one diagnosed with BPD, can live a healthy, effective, peaceful life”.
