Dec. 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It has been reported that the Mariners have reached an agreement with the Blue Jays. According to the deal, which must still be in its tentative stage, judging from the secrecy surrounding it, the Mariners would be exchanging Brandon Morrow, the right hander player, with Brandon League of the Blue Jays. They would also probably be getting another prospect out of the deal, but the name of the other player has not yet been revealed.
The entire matter is still too hush hush to come to any definite conclusion. Te spokesperson for the Mariners was not willing to comment on the matter when contacted. It may be safely assumed that the agreement will be disclosed only when the deal has been finalized, that is, the players in question have passed the necessary physical tests.
It is being speculated that if the deal comes through, the Mariners would be the better off for it. It is true that Brandon League had been a little below the mark lately, what with all the losses in the home runs. Still, he is one of the best players in the team, and it does seem surprising that the Blue Jay have agreed to let go of him.
Brandon League has a great career record, with the present grounder rate of 62%. In fact, the 55.7% grounder rate last year was the lowest that he had scored in his career so far. Above all, he is also blessed with the pitcher’s luck, something that matters a lot in his game. He would be going away to Seattle where he would be undertaking the physical tests, following which, if he makes it, he would officially be initiated in the Mariners team.
