footballSep 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Brandon Jacob, the New York Giants running back, was subjected to severe public ridicule as he flung his helmet into the stands, as a mark of venting his frustrations, due to his team’s 38-14 loss to Indianapolis Colts, in the Lucas Oil Stadium. He was disappointed with his performance as he ran only 8 yards, in only four carries. The National Football League will give Brandon Jacob a tough time, as they would investigate the matter soon.

Brandon Jacob apologized, saying that this act was not deliberate, but just an accident, as the helmet slipped off his gloves and flung into the stands while he was aiming for the benches of the giants. The helmet flew 10 rows deep in the stands, when it got stuck in his gloves and slipped off his fingers. He said that he wanted to throw the helmet downwards, but accidentally, it flew upwards. Although no one was hurt, the spectators reacted scornfully, abusing the player in public.

It is believed that the disgraceful loss of the giants cannot be pertained to the poor performance of Peyton Manning. It was the mild offensive attacks on the part of the Colts, that culminated in the defeat of the team. Jacob was called off by the third quarter of the game, as he ran only 8 yards in four carries.

The New York Giants had a remarkable opening victory against the Panthers this season. However, they were badly shredded by the Colts due to the striking performance of their players like Joseph Addai (20 carries, 92 yards) and Donald Brown (16 carries, 69 yards). On a contrast, the best performance of the New York Giants came only from Bradshaw (17 carries, 89 yards).
