Bracken takes Cricket Australia to court
October 12th, 2011 - 9:06 pm ICT by IANSSydney, Oct 12 (IANS) Former Australian fast bowler Nathan Bracken has initiated legal action against the Cricket Australia (CA), claiming that it did not protect him enough when he was battling a career-ending knee injury.
Bracken was not present in the court Tuesday as his case was mentioned for the second time, the Daily Telegraph reports.
His lawyer Richard O’Keefe asked the case to be adjourned because the CA had not met with the court orders to provide “medical records relating to the plaintiff”, the paper added.
CA has now been given time until Nov 30 to produce the required documents.
Bracken was forced to retire from the game in January owing to the persistent knee injury.
