Dec.13, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Former University of Miami player Lamar Thomas is in news lately as he has given his resignation as the coach of the Boynton Beach boys’ basketball team sometime last week. The reasons for the resignation are said to be personal. Reportedly, Lamar Thomas’ brother has not been doing well lately and as a result the coach presently has to devote a lot of time to his family. However, as of now, Athletic Director Rick Swain would be guiding the team and would be undertaking the responsibilities of the coach.
Meanwhile, Lamar Thomas also plays a pivotal role in managing the disciplinary issues in the school and supposedly he would be continuing with the duties, despite his resignation as the coach of the basketball team. While explaining his resignation, the coach said that resigning from the team was not something that he really wanted to do. However, he had to take the stand as he has some very important decisions to make regarding his family. The coach also emphasized that one of his family members is suffering from a major health condition. Moreover, attempts are being made to see whether the coach could turn out to be a probable kidney donor.
The former NFL player has played three seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers team and five seasons with the Miami Dolphins team. At the same time, the much acclaimed wide receiver is also known to play the role of a color commentator, who was terminated from his position in the year 2006 for making some controversial comments during on field clash between University of Miami and FIU.

Lamar Thomas is a great coach. Hope the team is going to suffer a lot.
