Las Vegas, Sep 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Police are allegedly investigating boxing icon - Floyd Mayweather Jr. on the suspicion of assaulting the mother of his child, Josie Harris.

Police sources revealed that they got a call from Josie at 5:03 am on Thursday and they are looking for the boxer to interview him to determine whether they will arrest him. Police say Josie reported that Mayweather had attacked her. Sources say Josie will go to court on Thursday to get a restraining order against the former world-boxing champion.

It may be recalled that Jodie had accused the boxer of attacking her in 2003, but later told a court that she lied about the charges because she got angry the Mayweather had left her for another woman. The charges were then dropped.

Thirty three year old Floyd Mayweather Jr. is an American boxer and the son of boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Sr. He was born as Floyd Sinclair and he has never lost a fight since he turned professional.

He won several world titles including the WBC World Super Featherweight Champion and the WBC World Lightweight Champion. His uncles – Jeff Mayweather and Roger Mayweather have also won numerous championship titles in their professional careers.
