Baltimore, Sept 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Boston Red Sox has shown remarkable recovery to move to the top of the log of the AL wild-card. Though they share the top spot, the team will look back and give each other a pat on the back for a good job done. The team nearly blew up their chances when they sacrificed a nine-game lead in just a matter of 23 days. September didn’t turn out to be such a good month for the team but they recovered and won the last game. They now have their destiny in their own hands.

With a game to go, the team has everything to play for. The team’s record was 6-19 in September but they recovered to beat the last placed team, Baltimore Orioles 8-7 in a dramatic game which was played on Tuesday night. The team is playing Baltimore again tonight and they know they have to go all out especially regarding that they are playing on home turf.

The fortunes of the Red Sox were helped by Tampa Bay’s win over the New York Yankees last Tuesday. The reverse games will be played on Wednesday night. Watch out for some interesting pairings.
