Boris Johnson kicks FIFA chiefs out of London’s ‘The Dorchester’ hotel
December 5th, 2010 - 8:57 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLondon, Dec 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Revenge is a dish best served cold and Boris Johnson has managed to do exactly that. He was furious with the FIFA officials because England lost the golden chance to host the World Cup because of them. And now he has taken revenge on them by kicking FIFA chief Sepp Blatter and other officials out of the 1000 pounds a-night The Dorchester hotel in London.
It may be recalled that the FIFA officials like Sepp Blatter and others had to been invited to stay in London’s prestigious The Dorchester hotel for a week. But the mayor of London – Boris Johnson is so miffed with the FIFA officials that he has withdrawn the offer, as he wanted to show to the officials that he wasn’t happy when England’s World Cup bid was rejected.
Boris was miffed when Russia was awarded the ultimate vote. Boris felt that they had spared no expense and efforts when they were preparing for their World Cup bid. He said that, “We put together a cracking bid, our technical specification was top-notch and our stadiums would have been packed to the rafters. Londoners love football.”
He later said that the rejection was a ‘big blow and tremendously disappointing’.
